Under the authority of the Project Manager, the Site Coordinator’s main responsibilities are to coordinate the work related to his activity and to ensure that permits are obtained. More specifically, the Site Coordinator – Installation acts as an expert in the installation of turbines and the various steps involved.

This role is based on construction site on a full-time basis and therefore requires a high level of geographic mobility, as well as availability to work on a rotational schedule, based on project needs. To facilitate mobility, employees residing more than 120 km from the work site will be mobilized on site and may be eligible for certain benefits, in accordance with the company’s policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• 5 to 10 years of experience in similar roles;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer tools;
• Advanced proficiency in French, both written and spoken;
• Intermediate proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to regularly interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues across Canada. Must participate in coordination meetings and provide progress updates to English-speaking stakeholders;
• High geographic mobility and availability to work according to construction site schedules;
• Excellent team management and conflict resolution skills;
• Autonomy and leadership;
• Strong administrative rigor;
• Knowledge of turbines and manufacturers.

What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
• With the assistance of the Project Manager, prepare the contracts required for the execution and control of the work for subcontractors, suppliers and consultants;
• Assist the Superintendent in coordinating assembly activities;
• Confirm and coordinate technical requirements with field teams and subcontractors;
• Validate the progress of installation work and produce a follow-up report periodically;
• Coordinate installations in collaboration with the Installation Superintendent, site engineers, subcontractors, municipal and regional representatives, and the promoter/client representative;
• Develop and implement the quality control program for installation work and ensure that all points have been documented and are being monitored;
• Coordinate inspections to verify the conformity of the work;
• Ensure the application of technical procedures to the work carried out in collaboration with the project engineer;
• Monitor the purchases, reception and inventory of materials required for the execution of the work;
• Actively participate in the implementation of the prevention program and support the Prevention Officer with regard to the requirements and implementation of traffic controls in collaboration with the Superintendents;
• Finalize the transfer of all turbines to the developer/client and ensure that all points on the list of work to be completed (the “punchlist”) are crossed off and signed by the supplier or developer/client.
