Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the primary responsibilities of the Field Engineer - Civil are to coordinate work related to road construction, earthworks, and any other civil works required for the site.

This role is based on construction site on a full-time basis. We operate multiple construction sites across the province of Québec. This role therefore requires a high level of geographic mobility, as well as availability to work on a rotational schedule, based on project needs. To facilitate mobility, employees residing more than 120 km from the work site will be mobilized on site and may be eligible for certain benefits, in accordance with the company’s policies.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
• 3 to 5 years' experience in similar positions, specializing in road or foundation construction;
• Mastery of the Office suite;
• Experience with working within an EPC for industrial construction is an asset;
• Fluency in oral and written French;
• Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English to interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues at the national level. Is required to participate in coordination meetings and deliver progress updates to English-speaking stakeholders;
• High geographical mobility and ability to work away from home for a period of time;
• Excellent team management and conflict resolution skills Autonomy and leadership High administrative rigor.

What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
• With the assistance of the Project Manager, prepare the contracts required for the execution and control of the work for Subcontractors, suppliers and consultants;
• Assist the Superintendent in the coordination of civil or foundation engineering activities;
• Validate the progress of the project and produce a periodic monitoring report;
• Coordinate construction works in collaboration with the Superintendent, Environmental Coordinator, subcontractors, municipal and regional representatives, and the client representative;
• Develop and implement the quality control program for the civil or foundation phase of the project;
• Coordinate work compliance inspections;
• Ensure that technical procedures are applied to the work performed on site in collaboration with the Project Engineer;
• Track purchases, reception and inventory of materials required to complete the work;
• Actively participate in the implementation of the prevention program and support the Site Health & Safety Coordinator.
